Since his arrvial, Pirates found their scoring touch after scoring nine goals in three matches prior to their l-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chickelday confirmed on social media that the game against Sundowns was his final one with the Soweto giants.

"Not the result I wanted in my last game with  @orlandopirates competed and dominated for 90 minutes to lose 1-0 against top of the table  @Masandawana. Thanks to everyone involved with the club and & to the fantastic supporters for making me so welcome!," the coach tweeted.

The Buccaneers will turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup next weekend when they take on first division side All Stars.
