Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has discussed the club's priorities with the opportunity to go all the way in the Nedbank Cup and finishing second on the table.
Pirates will come up against Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda Football Academy in the Nedbank Cup last 16 on Saturday and are in contention for a CAF Champions League spot in the DStv Premiership.

Riveiro was asked where the club's priorities lie and he says although they want to close the gap between themselves and second-placed SuperSport United, it's important for the club to reach the final of the Nedbank Cup.
"We still have a lot of things to play until the end, it's very important for the club and for us as a group to finish as high as possible," Riveiro said in a press conference.
"We have to see the team which is close for us in this moment to overcome and that's our objective, we want to finish the season as high as possible and obviously have the possibility to at least be in the final.
"I think clubs like Pirates must be in the finals every season as much as possible, when you go to the final, you know the story. There is a combination of a lot of factors to be the better team," he said.
The Spanish mentor continued and said that for a club of Pirates' stature, they have to reach as many cup finals as possible in a season after they won the MTN8 early in the campaign.
"But again the possibility to be in the final for a club like Pirates must be a motivation enough for all of us to invest in this competition," he went on.

"We have experienced recently, we know the meaning of being in the MTN8 final, be the better team also in Durban that time, so we want to replicate the same. We want to have the same experience and be in the final together but that's something that will happen if we do our job against Venda, which is going to be difficult.
"We have dreams but the reality is that we're far from that possibility but we wanna fight to have the chance to be in the final," he added.
