The reason why Orlando Pirates forward Terrence Dzvukamanja has not lived up to expectations since signing from defunct Bidvest Wits has been revealed.
Dzvukamanja was signed by Pirates in September 2020, along with his former teammates, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto and Thabang Monare, after Wits sold their Premiership status to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM), who were later renamed Marumo Gallants.
However, despite early promise by the Zimbabwean attacker at the Sea Robbers, he has not been able to replicate the form he had at the Clever Boys under Gavin Hunt.

Dzvukamanja's career at the Soweto giants has also not been helped by injuries but his former mentor Hunt, has suggested that the Buccaneers could not find a suitable position for the 28-year-old.
The multiple league-winning coach, who has revived Hlatshwayo's career at SuperSport, another player who found the going tough at Pirates, was asked why Dzvukamanja could not show the quality he had at Wits given the struggles at the Soweto giants.
"I think that's the biggest mistake clubs all around the world do, I think you can't - and I'm not talking about this particular player (Dzvukamanja), any player," Hunt addressed the issue around Dzvukamanja in an interview on Marawa Sports World Wide.
"I think you can't sign good players and try to put square pegs in round holes, 'he's a good player' but where are we going to play him? How is he going play in the way we want to play?
"Now, when there's unlimited budget it's very simple, you just buy, you'll figure it out (where a player fits in), where (as) if you've got no money to buy players you've got to say to yourself, like, 'What do we need for the right side of our midfield, what do we need for our centre of the midfield, what's going to make us win and be sustainable for 40 games or whatever it is'.
"Player for player, it's got to be, 'Yes, I think he can do this for us, it suits us, we don't have to change for him, he changes for us'," he said.
