R13m Ex-Sundowns Star Mzansi’s Most Valuable Free Agent

A former Mamelodi Sundowns star, with a market value of R13 million leads the list of most valuable free of free agents in the Premier Soccer League.

TS Galaxy recently announced the departure of Sibusiso Vilakazi after his contract was terminated by mutual consent. The midfielder obtained his clearance just before the close of the January transfer window, thus making him eligible to sign for a team of his choice.

Vila made 10 appearances for coach Sead Ramovic’s side before his departure.

Despite injuries having gotten the better of him in recent years, the 32-year-old is rated as one of the top midfielders in the country who gained vast experience from his time with Sundowns.

According to the figures on Transfermarkt.com, ‘Vila’ is currently the most expensive free agent with a market value of €700 000 (±R13m).

The player closest to the former Bafana Bafana man is Kudakwashe Mahachi, who despite an entire season of being clubless, still maintains a decent market value of €525 000 (±R9.8m).

He was last on the books of SuperSport United.
