What's the story?
EA Sports' last instalment of the FIFA franchise became available at the end of September with plenty of anticipation.
The enthusiasm for the release of the game was matched by gamers logging in to enjoy one of the most recognisable gaming franchises in the world.

Let's take a closer at the amount of fans that played the game during its opening week.
FIFA 23 breaks record
As mentioned, this is the final FIFA game under publisher EA Sports and its the game's biggest ever opening week.
The game surpassed last year's launch week by over a million players. EA Sports in press release that FIFA 23 attracted over 10.3 million players in its first week of availability.
"The response from our fans has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re thrilled that our community is playing with their favourite players and teams across FIFA 23 in record numbers," says Nick Wlodyka, EA Sports' General Manager.
"With both the Men’s and Women’s World Cups, and exciting updates to our women’s club football content in game still yet to come, we’re just getting started on providing players with the most authentic and immersive experience yet," he added.
Along with upgrades across the board, a banging soundtrack, unreal ambassadors and constant updates, EA Sports' last FIFA will be one for the books.

Along with adding women's football to the game, EA Sports has stepped it up with partnered with Marvel, a surprising crossover that brings football heroes to the pitch in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
AFC Richmond and everyone’s favourite fictional manager, Ted Lasso, are also playable in FIFA 23, as Wrexham AFC is included in the Rest of World section.
