Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have decided to part ways with head coach Faouzi Benzarti after only three games in charge of the side.
The north African heavyweights have once again rendered the services of a manager surplus to requirements with the firing of Benzarti.
The Tunisian tactician did not start the 2022/23 Botola Pro season in the best possible fashion, with the Green Eagles languishing in 11th position and winless after three games, drawing two and losing the other.
The club released a statement on Wednesday confirming the 72-year-old's sacking after a long meeting between him and club president Aziz El Badraoui.
This was Benzarti's second stint with the club from Morocco's largest city, but unlike the first time when he left due to economic factors, he leaves in unsavoury circumstances on this occasion.
Having been successful with bitter rivals and reigning league champions Wydad Casablanca in recent years, and following the relative success he had during his first tenure at Raja, it was perhaps presumed he could replicate this a second time.
Reports suggest that yet another Tunisian could be taking the reins at the Stade Mohammed V, with Mondher Kebaier highly touted to take over from Benzarti.
