The Milan attacker was then handed a debut for the senior national side in 2021 and even found the back of the net against Lithuania in a friendly.
Journalist Lion Bacco has reported the 23-year-old has now decided to ditch La Roja for the Atlas Lions, who became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of a FIFA World Cup last year.

Diaz has not feature for Spain's national side since making his debut, but is eligible to play for Morocco via his parents, who were both born in the country.
The 23-year-old will follow in the footsteps of former Barcelona winger Munir El Haddadi who ditched Spain to represent the Moroccans.
