Earlier in January, the Brazilian was caught drink-driving in Newcastle after being stopped by police, much to the surprise and disappointment of his manager Eddie Howe.
As a result of his offence, the 26-year-old was fined a week's wages by the Magpies.
Joelinton was said to be compliant with officers who requested he pulled over his car, telling them he had two glasses of wine before testing over the limit moments later.
