With a number of their players having already left in this window, Barcelona head coach Xavi has reportedly informed four more squad members not to report for pre-season training.

This is Xavi's first off-season transfer window since taking charge of the Catalans in November 2021, and given the strides he made with the players he inherited, the Spaniard will be keen to impose his style of play on the squad with players he will want to bring in.

This means more squad members are expected to leave the club, and according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, La Masia graduates Oscar Mingueza and Riqui Puig have been told by their manager that they are surplus to requirements.

The pair have contracts expiring at the end of the 2022/23 season, and with the Blaugrana not eager to lose them on free transfers considering their financial situation, they will look to move the duo on for a fee in this window.

Denmark forward Martin Braithwaite is said to also have been placed on the transfer list by Xavi. The 31-year-old was brought in from Leganes by the Blaugrana outside of the transfer window in February 2020 in order to serve as cover for an injury-ravaged squad.

His poor form has, however, forced Xavi's hand, with Braithwaite managing to find the back of the net only 10 times in 56 appearances to date for Barca.

As per Mundo Deportivo, defender Samuel Umtiti has also been told to leave. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has been plagued by injuries over the course of the past couple of seasons in Catalonia. In fact, since the 2018/19 season, Umtiti has missed 85 games for the club.

France's Ligue 1 is his most likely next destination, according to reports.
