Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s blockbuster move to the Saudi Pro League, the division's top goalscorer last season, an African star who plays for one of Al Nassr's biggest rivals, has suggested that the Portuguese marksman is the greatest to ever play the game.
Ten Hag Makes Big Rashford Claim After Stunning Solo Goal
This past Sunday, Ronaldo made his highly anticipated debut for his new side Al Nassr when they took on Patrice Carteron's Al Ettifaq.
It was Brazilian Anderson Talisca's solitary strike that secured victory for the Knights of Najd as Al Nassr look to win the league for the first time in four years.
Despite failing to score in his opening match for the side, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has now been lauded by Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo, who plays for Al Hilal, as one of the game's greats.
"Ronaldo is a legend. He is the best, for me, is the GOAT," Ighalo told Oma Sports TV.
"I have too much respect for him, admiration for him.
"He is going to play for his own team and he will score goals and me, I am going to play for my own team and I will score goals. So we will see how it goes.
"I wish him all the best in Al Nassr, then I will do my job for Al Hilal and we will see at the end of the season."

The Nigerian, who scored 24 goals in the Saudi Pro League last season to take the Golden Boot, will only get the chance to play against the Madeira native on 3 May, and with the two sides only separated by a point in the current log standings, it will likely be a monumental clash.
