With Kylian Mbappe once again linked with a blockbuster move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, here is the latest on the Paris Saint-Germain forward's future.
PSG Star Unhappy With Mbappe Role?
In recent days, news that Los Blancos could be back in for the 24-year-old has spread across Europe, less than a year on from his surprise decision to reject a free-agent switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe committed to a new deal in the French capital towards the end of last season after he appeared to be days away from signing for Real, a call that was believed to anger president Florentino Perez.
Behind the scenes, however, the Spanish giants' interest in the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner did not wane, with The Athletic reporting that the club has not given up hope of one day landing the Frenchman's signature.
It has been said in recent weeks that the 14-time European champions could soon be back in for Mbappe amid suggestions of a potential swap deal between PSG and Real involving Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior.
According to Marca, though, the LaLiga champions are not willing to stick their neck out for the ex-Monaco man just yet and are rather in favour of waiting for his contract in Ligue 1 to expire before entering into talks.
Mbappe's situation in France has appeared a delicate one since the start of the current campaign, after he apparently fell out with teammate and former close friend Neymar over penalty-taking duties.
