Speaking to the Siya crew, Smith provided an insight into the aim of the project
“It’s a nationwide talent search to find the most elite players in the country and the players that are selected at the search will form part of the high performance camp, for which the objective is to have the best young players in the country together and to create a database where those players can be further developed and exposed to opportunities,” Smith said.
The search will take place in all the main cities within the nine provinces and is scheduled to kick off in mid-December. Players interested in undergoing trials will be assessed during the month of October.
