With pressure mounting for Eric Tinkler due to results that have come in dribs and drabs for his team, the Cape Town City head coach is taking aim at Orlando Pirates for a comeback and to improve the situation.

The Citizens suffered a 1-0 loss at home to SuperSport United on Tuesday evening and Tinkler was evidently not pleased with his team’s performance.

“They are professional sportsmen, you know. You’re going to have good days and you’re going to have bad days but the most important thing is how you bounce back and what better opportunity than against Orlando Pirates,” said Tinkler, speaking to journalists.

Meanwhile, Pirates have had challenges of their own in their league campaign due to inconsistent results, having lost their previous match 2-0 against log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
