Venue: Danie Craven Stadium

The visitors handed starts to Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili and Ayabulela Konqobe who joined the club in October as Etiosa Ighodaro continued to lead the line.

The Chilli Boys were looking to get back on the winning trail after failing to win their last two games before the break, while Stellies entered the clash having lost three of their for last outings.

The opening exchanges proved to be a quiet affair, with Stellies' Devon Titus going wide with a header, which was the only piece of goal-mouth action in the opening 30 minutes.

Steve Barker's troops had only scored two goals in their last four matches and that trend looked like continuing as they struggled to force a save out of Nwabili.

That all changed four minutes after the halftime break when Junior Mendieta opened the scoring from the penalty spot, taking his tally to four league goals this season.

The Chilli Boys, who had a quiet first half, managed to get themselves back on level terms just after the hour mark courtesy of a strike from Azola Matrose.

The hosts responded with a change for the final 15 minutes, as Sihle Nduli made way for Sinethemba Mngomezulu, who has already scored three goals this season.

Stellenbosch had a chance to win the game in the final six minutes after being awarded a second penalty, however Nwabili got the better of Mendieta the second time and pulled off the save to earn Chippa side a share of the spoils.
