Galaxy Thrash Arrows to End Winless Streak

TS Galaxy jumped to tenth spot on the DStv Premiership table after thrashing Golden Arrows 4-0 at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday evening.

Just days after their thrilling win over Marumo Gallants, Arrows made one change as Divine Lunga made way for Sbonelo Cele at left-back.

The Rockets, meanwhile handed a start Kolak in poles while Orebotse Mongae was also handed a re-call after the Tuesday's defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Both sides made their intensions clear early on, with Galaxy hitting the woodwork on 19 minutes while Arrows while Siyabonga Dube had a strike from distance.

Galaxy went on to get the opening goal in the 29th minute, with Mongae marking his return to the line-up with his first league goal of the campaign.

Sead Ramovic's charges managed to double their lead just before the halftime break, with Bernard Parker grabbing his second goal of the season for Galaxy.

Arrows coaching staff responded with a double change at the start of the second half as Ryan Moon and Velemseni Ndwandwe replaced Nduduzo Sibiya and Lungelo Dube.

However, Galaxy carried that momentum into the second half after bagging a third goal in the 55th minute courtesy of a strike from Sphiwe Mahlangu.

The away side did see a bit more of the ball in the ball as the second half progressed, although Galaxy goalkeeper Vasilije Kolak did not have much work to do.

Galaxy were able to see out the remaining stages of the second half and were able to bag a fourth goal when Nkosikhona Radebe rounded off the scoring with his first goal of the season.
