Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi believes Amakhosi's defeat to Chippa United will give the side a wake up ahead of some crucial upcoming matches, starting with TS Galaxy on Wednesday.

Chiefs squandered a one-goal lead against the Chilli Boys at Moses Mabhida Stadium, going down 2-1 after they had registered three straight victories prior to the clash.

Tsotetsi sees it as a wake up call, as Amakhosi prepare to take on Galaxy, AmaZulu and then rivals Orlando Pirates in the Soweto before the end of the month.

"This is football. It will happen that you lose to a team that's lower than you on the log, after going on a good run of results. But it's about how well you can stand up and rectify the mistakes. You prepare well as a coach, but sometimes things won't go your way. Remember that when teams play Chiefs, they go all out," Tsotetsi told the Siya crew.

"Knowing the coach, he believes in his players and they can still bounce back when they play Galaxy. It will be a nice challenge and the players will wake up. They need to see what went wrong and fix it. I still believe in coach Arthur and that they can bounce back."
