Kaizer Chiefs are in the process of sending one of the young stars from their youth ranks on loan for the second half of the season.
Having come through the development structures at the Soweto giants, young striker Mthokozisi ‘Keita’ Balakazi has made notable progress in the DStv Diski Challenge with Amakhosi in recent months.
This has led to the club making a decision to loan the player to the PSL for the remainder of the season as part of the plan to fast track his development.

Balakazi will, if all goes according to plan, spend the rest of the campaign with Uthongathi FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, according to information received by the Siya crew.
“Keita Balakazi is on his way to Uthongathi FC in KwaZulu-Natal to spend the rest of the season on loan from Kaizer Chiefs,” an insider confirmed to the Siya crew.
“He is from Chiefs’ DDC team. He came through the ranks at the club in the same way that other youngsters like Lebohang Lesako did,” the source said.
