Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi feels Itumeleng Khune deserves to be rewarded by the club for the contribution he has made over the years.

Khune's contract with Amakhosi is set to expire in June 2023 and, as reported by the Siya crew, there is a possibility for a short-term extension. Baloyi feels the veteran goalkeeper is deserving of a new deal from the club, as he does not want to see Khune playing for a smaller club.

"Khune, I know he has had injuries and all of that. Does he still have something to give to the game? I believe so. He has done a lot for the club. A relationship or a marriage it two-way, and there has been times when he was on top of his game, and he was demanding money and almost left the club. He did not leave the club. So the club, at some point, has to incentivize him, keep him," Baloyi said.
