Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says he knows where they need to improve after comparing their stats with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chiefs' Nedbank Cup last 16 clash against Casric Stars characterized their season so far, where they created a lot of chances but missed clear opportunities.

Zwane says statistically, they are only behind Sundowns in terms of chances created in the league and that has been the difference between them and the Brazilians, who have been "ruthless" in front of goal.

"When you look at the chances that we create, when was the last time we've created so many, actually we're the second best team in terms of creating goalscoring opportunities," Zwane told journalists at the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal draw.

"Sundowns obviously and then it's us but the only difference is that Sundowns have converted 80 percent of those chances they created, we only converted 20 to 30 percent.

"That alone tells you that's the department we have not been ruthless and they have been ruthless, that's the difference and also on the other hand we've conceded goals we shouldn't have, manna from heaven," he said.

The Soweto native mentor went on and said that they have come a long way and he understands the process, with the players still getting to grips with managing expectations from supporters.

"I keep on saying to the players we need to learn. We need to learn fast because at this level there's no room for such mistakes and being the person, I have played the game I understand.

"I sympathize with the players, a lot of pressure that comes with being a Kaizer Chiefs player, the supporters expect us to perform at our outmost best, week in and week out.

"The guys have been tremendous from where we come from and the challenges we've been through. Chiefs will visit Maritzburg United in the league on Saturday before the FIFA break.
