
With already so much attention on them, DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns are in the spotlight again as the Premier Soccer League confirmed that they have won Q1 and Q2.
Sundowns are proving to be unstoppable and are dominating local football to a point that coaches and former players have publicly come out to say that the Tshwane giants' big pockets are the reason they are doing so well.

In the first quarter, which has eight matches, Sundowns were top of the standings on 16 points, with Soweto giants Orlando Pirates just behind them in second place on 14 points. In the second quarter, which has seven matches Sundowns were sitting pretty with 21 points collected. Tshwane rivals SuperSport were in second place on 16 points, five behind the Rulani Mokwena-led side.
Sundowns have already won two matches in the third quarter and will be determined to win it yet again, as they edge themselves closer to a sixth consecutive Premiership title.

Mokwena's men, who have a 16-point lead at the summit of the standings, will be in action tonight when they take on TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium.
