
Orlando Pirates have concluded the signing of an international striker to further strengthen coach Jose Riveiro’s team.
Since towards the end of last year, Pirates have been strongly linked with highly rated Cameroonian striker Marou Souaibou who has impressed several clubs around the continent with his high work-rate and scoring ability.

Having travelled to Johannesburg this week to meet with the Buccaneers, as first reported by the Cameroonian media, the 22-year-old's deal has now been finalized.
The Soweto giants have since confirmed the club's latest signing on their official website.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Souaibou Marou from Coton Sport,” confirmed Pirates on the club’s official website.

“The 22-year-old has secured a deal that will see him at the Club until 2025. Marou comes to South Africa on the back of a three-year stint with his former club, Coton Sport, winning two league titles in the process, including Player of the Season award in 2022,” the club confirmed.
“His form in the Cameroonian league didn’t go unnoticed as he was selected to the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad that competed in Qatar. The Cameroonian international, who concluded his deal with the club yesterday afternoon, will join his new teammates this morning. Bienvenue Marou!” concluded the Buccaneers.
