Orlando Pirates are facing strong competition from DStv Premiership opponents in the race for the services of Pule Mmodi, the Siya crew has been informed.
Mmodi is expected to make a move or at least sign a pre-contract in this transfer window, with the indications that a few clubs in the league are eyeing his services.

As reported by the Siya crew, Pirates have emerged as the favourites to land the Bafana Bafana international’s signature to lure him from Golden Arrows.
Mmodi is one of the hot properties in Mzansi at the moment, and while the Siya crew reported that Kaizer Chiefs who had been one of the clubs keen on the 29-year-old winger have since withdrawn their interest according to sources, Arrows’ neighbours AmaZulu could give Pirates tough competition in the race for his signature.

“AmaZulu are still keen on the player (Mmodi). There’s been contact from the club again this year with the player’s representatives although Pirates are still the favourites,” said the source.
Mmodi is expected to be in the line-up for Abafana Bes’thende when they take on SuperSport United in their league clash on Saturday.
