Former Orlando Pirates defender Rooi Mahamutsa is expected to be in Botswana at the club Sifiso Myeni is playing for, VTM FC.
Myeni moved to the second-tier club towards the end of last year and is understood to be making an impact at the club. His experience is coming in handy at the club and the club is now set to welcome Mahamutsa, who will play a role in motivating the players in the team.

Mahamutsa, who won back-to-back trebles with the Buccaneers, is expected to land in Botswana on Tuesday, January 17, and will head to VTM where he will get an opportunity to motivate the players at the club. At this stage, Mahamutsa is not expected to sign a playing contract, but time will tell.
"He has been invited to Botswana to motivate the boys. He will train with the team as well. All the other things will happen if the time arises," Lawrence Duze from Greenleaf Sports Management revealed to the Siya crew.
Mahamutsa and Myeni are quite close, having been involved in township football. This has caused some football supporters to question whether or not they are broke. In edition 1306 of Soccer Laduma, Myeni touched on the matter, saying he and Mahamutsa do not have financial problems.

"I saw when Rooi (Mahamutsa) was trending because he was playing kasi football and people were saying he is broke. He is like a brother to me. But he said he is okay financially and I even heard him speaking to Andile (Ncube on radio). I am okay financially, there are no problems. And the fact that I came here was not based on money."
