Galaxy meanwhile, are searching for their first victory of the new year as they re-opened their season with a 2-1 win over Maritzburg United on 30 December last year but they have since drawn three successive matches without goals, the last of which was against Swallows this past Sunday.
The Rockets are placed 11th on the table with 19 points, just one point shy of a top eight spot and will leapfrog City if they win.
The Citizens will be chasing a league double over Sead Ramovic's men after edging them 1-0 in September last year in Nelspruit.
