What has Mzansi said about the recent weekend of Carling Black Label matches? Find out, by listening in the podcast player below!

The 2022 Carling Black Label Cup has come and gone, and brought with it immense excitement and disappointment! Unlike previous years, the 2022 edition had 4 participating teams. Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and AmaZulu, as voted by the fans.

In the weekend opener, Sundowns made light work of AmaZulu, beating them 3-0, and Pirates and Chiefs played out to a goalless draw before the Bucs progressed on penalties. This match was not without controversy, seeing both teams have a goal disallowed for offside, causing mass outrage amongst the Khosi Nation.

The final saw Sundowns take on Pirates, which was another bloodbath, with Masandawana putting four goals past Pirates, allowing Sundowns to claim their first CBL title. This now solidifies Sundowns’ dominance, as they claim a trophy that completes their cabinet!

On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, the Carling Black Label Cup in its new four-team format is discussed, as well as Sundowns' dominance and the controversy surrounding Chiefs and Pirates!
