The winners have been announced! Nickelodeon’s 27th Annual Kids Choice Awards took place at the Galen Center at USC, LA this weekend (Saturday 29 March 2014) and we’re happy to announce that radio personality Anele Mdoda was voted Top South African Radio DJ! This year saw a number of orange blimps being handed out to superstars. Jennifer Lawrence was honoured with a Favourite Movie Actress and Favourite Buttkicker. Justin Timberlake stole Favourite Male Singer while comedian Kevin Hart took the blimp for Favourite Funny Star. The special Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Kid’s TV hitmaker Dan Scheider, creator of mega-hit series iCarly, Drake & Josh, Kenan & Kel, Victorious, Sam & Cat and Zoey 101. Entertainment for the night did not disappoint. Internet sensation Todrick Hall performed a pop medley featuring celeb cameos by Pharrell Williams, Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson. Mind-blowing magician David Blaine debuted the live awards show, where he faced his greatest challenge ever – slime - in an unforgettable moment that literally knocked his head off. Top-selling recording artist Aloe Blacc got the audience inspired with a assortment of his hit songs “ Wake Me Up” and “The Man”.
