School holidays are the best, but only if you’re actually still in school, right? While kids can’t wait for the winter break to begin, parents foster less happy thoughts about the school holidays.
Even though the kids (definitely) won’t mind being glued to their phone screens for two whole weeks without any interruption from a pesky teacher, it’s probably best to force the gremlins, sorry we mean kids out of their cave, sorry we mean bedroom… every now and then. Just in case they develop muscle dystrophy or early onset arthritis of the thumb.
The Lion & Safari Park offer parents the opportunity to bring their kids to a child friendly environment where they can learn and explore safely. Think of it as an ‘edutaining’ experience for the whole family.
Entrance to the park is completely free and families can enjoy lunch on the deck at the Wetlands restaurant and treat the kids to an ice-cream afterwards at the Frozen Kingdom.
Free activitiesCome say hello to our small critters at their newly built enclosures. We have Meerkats, Banded Mongoose, Porcupines, Ground Squirrel and the Rock Hyrax.
Kids are also welcome to make use of the playground and pay a visit to the bunny park.
Paid activitiesFeed the cheeky giraffes for only R30, and come say ‘hi’ to our lion cubs. We have also extended our self-drive option so families can drive on their own time through the lion and wild dog enclosures and the rest of the park.
Free guided tours and self-drives for all kids under the age of 12. Valid until 31st August.
