After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the TRUELOVE All A Woman Needs Festival returned with a spectacular day of intriguing conversations, overwhelming joy and glorious performances.
TRUELOVE editor-in-chief Makhosazana Zwane-Siguqa says, “We’re delighted to be back after two years of not having the event because of Covid-19 restrictions. We’re grateful to our event partners who patiently waited as we prepared to reintroduce the gathering. One of the aims of the event is to create safe spaces for women to let their hair down in safe spaces. It was lovely seeing the TRUELOVE community reunited in celebration of sisterhood.”
Festival goers enjoyed performances by Makhadzi, Zahara and Mariechan, food and drink stalls for purchase as well as activations by our brand partners.
Bernini had picture-perfect marquees for everyone to capture their memories, they offered a can of Bernini as a welcome drink and gave away Bernini-branded water bottles to attendees.
At its beautiful car display on the perfectly manicured lawn, Ford allowed festival-goers photo-taking opportunities with Instagram frames and the coveted Ford Rangers as a backdrop. The motor company also gifted guests stylish blue and white sun hats as well as custom drinks in branded water bottles courtesy of a mixologist.
Adorned with stunning floral designs, the Sta-Sof-Fro ‘create your own hair oil’ station had guests experimenting with custom hair products using only natural ingredients.
Sorbet technicians offered quick manicures and a facial mapping session, Hinds Spices served vegetarian bunny chows, chicken pitas and kebabs, Rhodes Quality Juices served mocktails and Tiger Brands’ With A Twist Koo food sampling across their All Gold Tomato Sauce, Crosse & Blackwell, Black Cat, Mrs Balls and Benny brands.
