This past weekend we saw some of our favourite stars finally stepping out of their homes and onto the red carpet at the Royalty Soapie Awards.

The awards ceremony - which is held in honour of the South African Soap Opera industry - celebrates actors,  make-up artists, costume designers as well as producers. After a long six months of virtual events, our celebrities made sure to dress to the nines and stun for the night out.

Here are some of our favourite looks from the Royal Soapie Awards:

Sphesihle Ndaba’s black Tomi Rikhotso dress

Lerato Kganyago in Quiteria Atelier

Winnie Ntshaba looked stunning in sliver

Lorraine Moropa didn't disappoint in gold

Today marks the highlight of my career. Ngwanyana wa ko Daveyton is doing this red carpet thing! She’s counted amongst legends who have been in the game for about 20years. What an honour and a privilege it has been living my dream. I’m a living testimony that “God is not a man that He should lie” His words are “YES” & “AMEN”. Thank you to EVERYONE who played part in my journey??. I dedicate this moment to my Mother and my Grandmother, the people who pray for me more than they pray for themselves and love me unconditionally. Thank you to my former lecturer @ntoshie_10 for the love and support. I’ve had back to back auditions when I started up and one day i attended one and was stuck in Joburg because I didn’t have money to go back home, she knew my struggle and believed in my hustle.. and came through for me. I’ll eternally be grateful?? I do hope and pray that I live to set an example that your background doesn’t define who you are.. neither do your failures. I’ve had it rough just as much as I was graced with opportunities. This year was by far the toughest year of my entire career. I used to cry most days driving to work and driving back home..there’d be times where I didn’t even care about arriving safe and I’d consciously drive on wrong lanes because at some point nothing mattered anymore. This is not me asking for emphathy or pity. I’m just saying that above and beyond EVERYTHING We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. (2nd Corinthians 4) And besides, hardships built more heroes than privilege. Thank you to a sister, colleague and a good friend of mine @inst_lesego for holding my hand through and walking this bittersweet journey with me. ???? And finally! Thank you @la_principessa_bridal_wear for dressing me on this BIG night.. I’m wearing this brand to honour you guys. You once gave me my first red carpet experience where I was absolutely nobody?? but what it is you guys saw in me, I’ll never know. Please dress me on my wedding too?
