AfroBotanics presents the 4th annual My Own Kind Of Beautiful Event which will be held at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton on Wednesday, 31st March 2021 under the theme “Joy and Self Love”. The event seeks to help South Africans find their own kind of beautiful and tap into a positive resilience amid the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.

Under the company’s tag line, ‘My Own Kind Of Beautiful’ AfroBotanics has been challenging the traditional notion of beauty, calling for a more inclusive world, where everyone feels beautiful and powerful in their unique beauty. What better way to close off International Women’s Month with an event workshop that shares tools on finding and maintaining joy and not fear, in challenging times. The event-workshop is a collaboration between women supported by The Maslow Hotel and TRUELOVE Magazine.

The event will be attended by 100 women and streamed live on Facebook and YouTube on AfroBotanics and True Love platforms. Those attending will walk away with the following:

  • An understanding and tools on getting to joy and self-love
  • How to create a beautyfull life
  • Becoming a conscious creator of one’s life
  • How and why we must heal from childhood and past traumas
  • Living a passion-filled, purpose-driven life

The 4th annual My Own Kind Of Beautiful will have some powerful South African women in the line up coming together for a good cause. Hosted by AfroBotanics founder, Ms Ntombenhle Khathwane.

Let's take a look at the line-up
  • Khosi Zwane, TRUELOVE Magazine Editor – “Self Love Is True Love
  • Shudufhadzo Musida, Miss South Africa 2020 – “My Real Crown”
  • Entrepreneurial Panel Hosted By Ntombenhle Khathwane: “Finding Joy Through Entrepreneurship” with Portia Mngomezulu, MD of Portia M Skincare & Mpume Madubedube, MD of The San Hair
  • Ayanda Borotho – “Unbecoming 2 Become” Workshop
  • Kelly Khumalo – “The Voice Of Africa” Performance

“AfroBotanics celebrates women every day and believes that the creativity and leadership of women must be unlocked in order for South Africa to become the kind of country we all want," Ntombenhle Khathwane, Founder of AfroBotanics, says.

"One where every child has equal opportunity, where every South African can live their full potential, every single South African was born with a purpose and must be given the opportunity to express this. Clearly, we need every woman to choose to challenge herself to unleash her own potential without requiring anyone’s permission to do so.” - .

By 2022, female entrepreneurs have the potential to boost the South African economy by R175 Billion. Women need to uplift each other so that there is a rise in female business owners, community and political leaders and creators.

Catch the event live on the Afro Botanics Facebook page and on TRUELOVE's Instagram page on 31 March from 10am!
