Society tends to glorify women who take care of others more than they care for themselves. There’s an assumption that just because you can take care of others, you’re a superwoman who is also capable of taking care of yourself.

Sadly, this is not true. People who take care of others often neglect themselves and their wellbeing. The decision to be more disciplined, to address your recurring toxic thoughts, to prioritise your mental health and to put your happiness over your history.”
