Tsaka looked sad as Magistrate Mpho Hadebe delivered the ruling. Hadebe ruled that Tsaka could interfere with state witnesses if released, and his release wouldn’t be in the interests of justice.
His matter was postponed to 15 November 2026.
Tsaka (29) was arrested on Friday, 9 October, at his home in Rethabile Gardens, Polokwane, following an investigation involving police tracking teams, the murder and robbery unit and Tshimollo Security.
Police allegedly found an unlicenced firearm and 52 rounds of ammunition in his possession.
The firearm’s serial number had allegedly been filed off.
Tsaka faces four charges in the Polokwane matter. These include statutory rape, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and failure to store a firearm in a prescribed safe.

The statutory rape charge relates to an alleged incident on 6 June 2026 in the Capricorn district.
Tsaka is also facing a separate crimen injuria case in the Lebowakgomo Magistrates Court.
The case stems from alleged insulting remarks he made about a Thobela FM presenter on social media in 2025.
He also faces a separate case in Tshwane.
During his bail application, his lawyer, Advocate Jaros Tibane, argued that releasing his client would be in the interests of justice.
Tibane questioned the state’s concerns about possible witness interference.
He also argued that Tsaka had no previous convictions and had verified addresses.
The state indicated it wasn’t opposing bail.
However, Hadebe rejected the bail application.
“There’s a likelihood that if released on bail, you will interfere with state witnesses.
“Your release is also not in the interests of justice,” she said.
