ACTOR Sdumo Mtshali has paid tribute to his late co-star, Presley Chweneyagae.
He described the late actor as an inspiration and a master of his craft.
During Presley's memorial service in Tshwane on Thursday, 5 June, Sdumo spoke about their collaborative work and shared bonds.
The 44-year-old actor from Durban, best known for his roles in Isibaya, The Estate, Justice Served, and iNumber Number, said Presley left a deep mark on his journey as an actor.
"My first encounter with Presley was when we were shooting iNumber Number. Honestly, I always say the first time I met him, I met someone I admired so much from the film Tsotsi. I had seen him on stage too, and to finally work with him, was a masterclass on its own.
"When you work with someone you admire, there's always that part of you that wants to prove you're capable and worthy of being in their space. With Pres, there was none of that. He made you feel like you belonged," he said.

Sdumo also spoke about Presley's unique approach to storytelling.
"He had a way to make you understand the moment in every frame. It was a gift. The way he explained what each scene meant was something godly. That's a skill that only develops over time."
He recalled how they instantly clicked during rehearsals.
"We were just sitting, going through the script, and how he saw the story, especially about the police force, it all made sense. We knew we wanted to show that yes, there is corruption, but there are also good cops. Presley believed in that, and it reminded me why I do what I do."
Sdumo ended his tribute with a plea.
"I know people are going to miss the show, Cobrizi. I urge the production company, don't give up on it. Keep playing it. Make another season for him."
