VISIBLY pregnant Gogo Maweni, whose real name is Makgotso Mofokeng, appeared in the Protea Magistrates Court in Soweto on Thursday, 12 June.
She was there for the continuation of an assault case dating back to 2019.
Maweni stands accused of assaulting a woman reportedly related to her ex-boyfriend.
Dressed in a black dress, black puffer gilet, a brown scarf, and black boots, Maweni appeared in court with her chair positioned next to the stand, a pillow placed on it for comfort.

Her husband and several supporters were present in court.
State prosecutor Advocate Karabo Moagi confirmed that the defence had filed an application to postpone proceedings.
Her lawyer, Advocate Riaan Gissing, requested a postponement on medical grounds, explaining that Maweni is 29 weeks pregnant and carrying twins.
"The application on behalf of the accused is for a postponement. The accused is 29 weeks pregnant, going on 30. We have provided the State with medical proof that the accused was in hospital from 1 June until the 4th. She was discharged," said Gissing.

He added that during a consultation on 10 June, Maweni began experiencing severe cramping, prompting an emergency visit to her doctor, who then issued an order for strict bed rest and no travel due to complications.
"The unborn children are innocent in this. Let's grant them the opportunity to go through this pregnancy safely, and until then, the matter proceeds," Gissing said.
He emphasised that his client is frequently hospitalised.
The State did not oppose the postponement.
After reviewing the medical documents, Magistrate Genevieve Tyrrell agreed that the pregnancy was indeed complicated, especially as it involved twins.
"The court is satisfied with the medical documentation. The accused is experiencing a problematic pregnancy.
"To avoid unnecessary delays, we will resume after the birth and recovery of the accused when she is ready to proceed," Magistrate Tyrrell ruled.
Four witnesses were in court and told to return for the trial. The case was postponed to 15 October for more evidence.
Maweni remains out on bail, which has been extended.
However, the magistrate issued a clear warning.
"Failure to appear will result in a warrant of arrest and bail conditions will be affected. Witnesses are also warned to appear on 15 October. Failure to do so will lead to arrest warrants," the magistrate said.
