RAPPER hosts creative summit.
Renowned rapper and entrepreneur, Slikour hosted the Johnnie Walker Afro Exchange Creative Summit in Rosebank, north of Joburg on Wednesday night, 11 June.
The event brought together a diverse mix of creatives from across the continent for an evening of powerful conversations, networking and cultural exchange.
The summit, themed around collaboration and growth within the creative industry, tackled key challenges faced by artists today from lack of business knowledge to egos that hinder meaningful partnerships.

Ifeoma Agu, one of the speakers at the event, described Afro Exchange as a cultural platform that bridges Nigeria and South Africa, aiming to showcase and celebrate the shared creative energy and values between the two nations.
Slikour, whose real name is Siyabonga Themba Metane, said the summit is about showing that the two countries are stronger together.
"You know the debate we often have about music - who started what. But what we're saying with Afro Exchange is that despite that, collaboration is what takes us further," he said.
He stressed the importance of humility, collaboration and continued development in the creative space.

"We're trying to build an Afro Exchange, but an artist can't trade value with a brand or business or even peers if they don't understand the business side of things," he said.
Slikour added that personal growth is just as crucial as talent.
"If you want longevity in whatever you're doing, just be kind. Creativity comes from a beautiful place not from thinking you're the most beautiful thing.
"Don't just be easy to work with. If you have a creative gift that no one else has, that's God being kind to you. Share it with kindness. Don't be arrogant because if you are, it'll move on to someone else," he said.
