US STAR, AJ Ghent and His Singing Guitar are set to light up Mzansi in October.
American musical sensation AJ Ghent, affectionately known as AJ Ghent and His Singing Guitar, is bringing his soul-stirring sound to Mzansi for a two-night live performance at Carnival City's Big Top Arena on 10 and 11 October.
The performances will be supported by South African vocalist, Brian Temba.
"I am incredibly excited to be touching down in South Africa to connect with music lovers. I can't wait to meet everyone who has supported my music and has been longing to see me perform live," said AJ Ghent.
Born Aubrey Ghent Jr. in Fort Pierce, Florida, AJ comes from a powerful musical bloodline. His forefathers revolutionised the art of "singing guitars" in the 1930s and AJ has masterfully carried this tradition into the modern era with his unique blend of R&B, soul, funk and healing frequencies.
Describing his music, he said it is hard to define but easy to feel, adding that his signature style combines vintage soul and blues roots with modern sonic healing and will be the offering to his audiences, accompanied by a deeply immersive emotional experience.
His viral clips on TikTok and Instagram have garnered millions of views, with fans praising his guitar's ability to express emotion like a human voice.
