DNA results of former Orlando Pirates star Bennet Chenene's sister have forced the court to postpone the case to 12 July, hoping the results will be back by then.
Nomvula Chenene's body was found on 25 March 2023 buried in a shallow grave at Lakeside near Orange Farm, south of Joburg after she went missing on 10 December 2022.
Speaking outside Vereeniging Magistrates Court, Chenene told Daily Sun that he has given up fighting for his sister's remains to be buried.
He said her sister's body was found three months after she went missing and now it's been three months since her body was found and the police have new stories every week, and that is delaying the case as the court has postponed it because of the DNA results.

On Thursday, 8 June, Sizwe Buthelezi appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrates Court for killing Nomvula and the case was postponed because the court is waiting for DNA results.
Chenene said last month the police told the family that the DNA tests of Nomvula's front teeth were not showing positive results and now the cops have told the family that they were waiting for emails from pathology services.
After the case was postponed, the Chenene family was left in more pain, saying they have mourned Nomvula for a long time and are still in the dark as to when they'll get to bury her body.
Chenene told Daily Sun that his sister was brutally murdered and the discovery of her body traumatised the family and when they tried to heal, they found out that Nomvula's bones were left by the police at the scene and the witness told the family that his sister was killed over a Savanna cider and that caused more pain as his sister died for nothing.
