THE Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Nakedi Kekana is outraged by the recent senseless murder of an on-duty security official at Shiluvani Community Library in Greater Tzaneen Municipality on Saturday, 4 May.

It is alleged that an unconfirmed number of suspects entered the library and demanded a firearm from the security official, Ndishavhelafhi Edward Nelufule (50). He was then fatally shot in the head.

It's understood that similar incidents occurred in two other government facilities in the same district, where security officials were accosted and their firearms taken.

Kekana sent her deepest condolences to the Nelufule family as well as his friends and colleagues. She called on law enforcement agencies to work around the clock to apprehend the suspects.

"Just when one goes to work to fend for their families are they then met by hideous people who take their lives at the barrel of a gun. We call on the police to leave no stone unturned and bring about justice," said the MEC.
