SENZO'S brother, Sifiso Meyiwa, has opened a case of fraud, corruption, perjury and defeating the ends of justice against senior state prosecutor Advocate George Baloyi.
Sifiso has also escalated the matter to top authorities, begging them to treat the case with the urgency it deserves.
On Monday, 9 March he sent a letter to Acting Police Minister Professor Firoz Cachalia, Minister of Justice Mmamoloko Kubayi, National Director of Public Prosecutions Advocate Sicelo Lekgoa Mothibi, and Chief Justice Mandisa Maya.
The case was opened at Bhekithemba cop shop in Umlazi, south of Durban, in an attempt to get justice for the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.
Senzo was shot and killed in 2014, and senior state prosecutor Advocate Baloyi is prosecuting the murder accused in the North Gauteng High Court.
While the trial is still ongoing, the Meyiwa family doesn't believe that the suspects in court are the right suspects.
Sifiso told Daily Sun that he sent the letter on 9 March on behalf of the family because they want urgent intervention in their brother's murder case.
According to Sifiso's letter, the evidence of defeating the ends of justice has been seen on national TV. He claims Baloyi continues to submit Bongani Ntanzi's (accused number two) cellphone records, which were allegedly fraudulently manufactured by the SAPS.
"Another separate case of fraud linked to this corrupted Meyiwa murder case was reported to Ipid towards the end of 2024, but they are dragging their feet and not keen to finalise a straightforward investigation.
"This raises more suspicions on the allegation that Ipid is infiltrated and captured by external forces," the letter said.

The letter said on a number of occasions, Advocate Baloyi submitted accounts of Ntanzi's pinged cellphone records. These records showed movement in various areas far from where he was being held in a cell.
Sifiso said this is impossible because Ntanzi's cellphone was confiscated by police on the day of his arrest as part of known procedure.
"Due to the sensitivity of this matter, I request Minister Professor Cachalia to assist in ensuring the newly opened docket is handled by competent senior SAPS officers. This is to avoid more irregularities, also because one of the suspects heading the Meyiwa murder case is a Brigadier (Gininda).
"We request a senior investigation officer please and for the docket to be secured before it disappears, as is the norm in many instances in SAPS," the letter stated.
In the letter, Meyiwa requested Chief Justice Maya to intervene by ensuring a fair judge gets appointed when a correct docket is introduced in court. He claimed the current presiding judge has a criminal case opened against him, beside his "unapologetic bias" against the defence.
KZN police spokesman Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed to Daily Sun that the case was opened.
"Police in Bhekithemba have opened a case of defeating the ends of justice and it is under investigation," he said.
Attempts to get comment from Minister Kubayi's spokesman Terrence Manase and police spokeswoman Brigadier Athlenda Mathe were unsuccessful. Their phones rang unanswered and WhatsApp messages were sent with no response.
