AS anxiety about the matric results sets in, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag) is urging parents to support their children and avoid talking about the coming results to ease their restlessness.
"Parents should stop over-stressing about the results."
"They should rather keep matrics busy, so they don't think about the results," said Fatima Seedat, Sadag's development manager.
She said the rate of matrics calling their hotline is not high.
'We are not inundated with calls for now. The only matrics who call just ask general questions on university admissions," said Fatima.
The matric results will be released on 18 January.

The SMS line is available every day of the week for 24 hours.
