AGE is just a number for Durban gogos who might end up as superstars and shine on Mzansi's small screens.
About 40 gogos aged around 60 are receiving the best acting classes at KwaMashu Community Advancements Projects (KCAP) in KwaMashu, north of Durban.
KCAP is known for producing the best actors who feature overseas.
The centre has produced an endless list of actors who appear on TV shows such as Uzalo, Skeem Saam, Umkhokha: The Curse, Muvhango, House of Zwide, Sibongile & Dlaminis, Shaka iLembe and many more.
The gogos, under a programme called Nqubeko Senior Citizens from neighbouring townships Inanda, Ntuzuma and KwaMashu (INK), started attending exercise classes in 2018 and later added acting and music programmes.

KCAP centre manager Thobile Ximba told Daily Sun that after they received calls from many TV production companies requesting old actors, they decided to train the ones coming to the centre for exercises.
"We introduced the acting and music programmes as part of their exercise routine. We might soon watch them on Mzansi's biggest TV shows.
"We're also creating their profiles, preparing them to get roles on TV shows. The programme is open to all senior citizens. For now, we have gogos, we're waiting for madalas," she said.
One of the gogos, Nana Nzoyiya (61) from KwaMashu, said the programme is helpful.
"What makes us happier is that we don't only exercise, we also attend acting and music classes.
"We also do theatre plays, and that always makes us happy. After I heard about this programme, I invited other gogos, and now we're living a healthy life while we're groomed to become actresses," she said.
