Mpumelelo’s polygamy dream is crumbling as his wives reject the traditional housewife role.
First, his fiancee, Tirelo Kale, put her foot down. She refused to relocate to Umzumbe, saying she can’t give up her career to become a housewife.
Even when Mpumelelo’s famous dad, Musa Mseleku, personally asked her to stay in Umzumbe, Tirelo stood her ground. She told the family they could find another wife willing to live there.
But history has repeated itself.
On the latest episode of Izingane Zes’thembu, which aired on Mzansi Magic on Thursday night, Mpumelelo’s second fiancee, Amahle Biyela, also refused to become a housewife.

Amahle questioned why she should stay alone in rural Umzumbe while her sister-wife Tirelo works in Joburg and Mpumelelo himself doesn’t live there permanently.
“WHY MUST I BE THE FOOL?”
The frustrated bride-to-be didn’t mince her words.
“Or will the fool live in Umzumbe while she lives in the city? He wants me to live alone in Umzumbe. Why should I stay there when I’m not even married yet? I can’t stay there,” Amahle said.
“There’s no way I can stay in Umzumbe. Mpumelelo is not someone I can rely on or even say he’ll do better this time. I’ve decided to forget about Mpumelelo and fix my own life.”
ANCESTRAL HOME FALLING APART
Umzumbe is the Mseleku family’s ancestral home, but ironically, no one lives there. Even Musa and his four wives stay elsewhere, leaving the homestead neglected.
Mpumelelo said he and his dad agreed that Amahle should be the one to stay in Umzumbe to take care of the property.
“I’m not feeling well seeing this home falling apart because this is where we grew up, and at the time, the family was united. I don’t know what went wrong,” Mpumelelo said.
“I want Amahle to stay in Umzumbe for now while I’m still planning where she’ll permanently stay.”
Mpumelelo said Amahle refused because Tirelo had said no first.
“I know another reason Amahle is refusing to stay in Umzumbe is that she heard that Tirelo also refused,” he said.
The drama continues as Mpumelelo struggles to balance tradition with his modern wives’ demands.
