RADIO presenter and MC Kwenisto Makgakga advises artists and everyone in the entertainment industry to be smart with their finances.
The former Thobela FM presenter took to social media to advise people to get funeral policies, so their families won't ask for donations when they die.
He told Daily Sun it's very important that artists take care of themselves while they're still alive.
"The first thing is to prepare a home where if things turn south, they'll be able to stay in dignity. We don't say they must build a new house or buy, but a three-room house at home can be refurbished," said Kwenisto, who's is the programmes manager at Unisa Radio.
"It's the people who are left behind who have to face backlash from the public. It's very important to save and live a life that won't be different even if you fall or maybe go out of fashion. Most are depressed because they don't want to accept that they have to downgrade. But if you live according to your means and be real, you will surely survive a downfall," he said.

Kwenisto said the poor decisions that celebrities make inspired them to come up with a free workshop to teach them financial literacy among other things.
"The workshop is about impacting artists regarding the important aspects of certain things because most are just talented without knowledge. We are trying to give them the knowledge that will help them maintain their craft and benefit them.
"We have realised that some don't even know how to submit a song to a radio station. Such information will be shared. It's a project by Tickekore who will have a festival called Ignyt Africa on the 7th of September at the Polokwane Cricket Club. Some of these artists will perform there," he said.
Kwenisto will be one of the speakers alongside amapiano musicians such as MFR Souls, Bassie and radio presenters C-Lecta and Hitboss SA. The workshop will be on 16 August at the Polokwane Library Gardens, Limpopo.
"Artists will learn that they should be ready for the world. Let them pick up some information that will sustain them when they're in music and when they are no longer in the limelight," he said.
