DR Nandipha Magudumana's bail application did not go as she had hoped.
The National Prosecuting Authority presented overwhelming charges against her during her bail hearing in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 29 August.
The state prosecutor, Advocate Sello Matlhoko, through the investigating officer's affidavit, stated that Magudumana was the mastermind in Thabo Bester's dramatic escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre under the questionable guards of British Security company (G4S).
The investigation revealed a series of disturbing events.
The first body was an unknown old man who is believed to be a victim of a hit-and-run and his body was discovered floating in the Kopano River outside Bloemfontein.
Dr Magudumana allegedly fraudulently claimed the body as her father's.
The second body was that of Katleho Mothusi Bereng who was reported missing by his family.
Magudumana also fraudulently claimed his body with false information and said it was her husband Bester.
There was even a staged funeral for Katleho in Bloemfontein.
During the process of investigations, police discovered rotten meat in the coffin with no body inside.

Magudumana arranged a post mortem in Gauteng where a report revealed that the cause of death was blunt trauma.
The cops denied Magudumana the body, but she took the matter to the high court which ordered the cops to release the body.
She produced fraudulent documents claiming that she was in a customary marriage with Bester.
Prosecutor Matlhoko exposed Magudumana's dishonesty with his submissions.
"In her affidavit, she explained that she is a qualified medical doctor who worked under the Department of Health earning R50 000 monthly. She had been suspended until she was apprehended. She lied to the police about her wealth.
"According to Doctors Network legacy, Magudumana is no longer registered as medical doctor in good standing," he said.
Matlhoko rubbished Magudumana's statement that she had been forced by her boyfriend to escape the country.
"The applicant fetched Bester from KwaZulu-Natal. Her passport was used 20 times travelling to other countries. When she was arrested, she was found in possession of someone's passport. She has criminal cases of fraud of R15 million, R500 000, R112 million and R900k and she also has to prosecute in civil claims," he said.
