DR Nandipha Magudumana is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 29 August, for a formal bail application.
This after she reserved her right to apply for bail earlier in June.
Magudumana has been arrested alongside her boyfriend Thabo Bester, who had mysteriously escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in the Free State in May 2022.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesman Phaladi Shuping has confirmed that Magudumana will apply for bail and the state intends to oppose it.
Magudumana is among the 12 people accused of aiding convicted rapist and murderer Bester to escape from prison. All the accused except Magudumana, Bester and Zimbabwean foreign national Zanda Moyo are out on bail.
