Comedian and actress Celeste Ntuli is co-hosting Vuma FM's afternoon drive show from 1 June, while also starring in Netflix's The Polygamist and preparing for her comedy show.

CELESTE Ntuli joins Vuma FM drive show from Monday.

The 45-year-old comedian and presenter from Empangeni, northern KZN, has been announced as the co-host of the afternoon drive show on Vuma FM, a commercial radio station based in Durban.

Celeste will be co-hosting the Vuma FM drive show alongside Carol Hopps and Big Mike from Monday, 1 June.

The show was previously co-hosted by Mzokoloko Gumede and Nombuso Mkhwanazi before Gumede left the station and rejoined Gagasi FM in April.

Vuma FM made headlines in 2025 when it parted ways with presenter Jacinta Ngobese Zuma after she joined the station in 2019.

Celeste said bagging a show on Vuma FM feels like starting a new journey, and everything is aligned to what is happening in her life.

"Sometimes you don't plan other things. Coming back to Durban was not in my plans. Life just hit me with bingo," she said.

Celeste said the show will introduce her to listeners as a human being and not just as a comedian.

"Listeners must expect Celeste. I've realised that many people know me as a comedian, and in radio, many people will be introduced to me as a human being. Possibly, I'm not just funny when I'm having a conversation.

"I know many things will surprise them, but other things will confirm who I am," she said.

She said this is not her first time doing radio, as she co-presented an afternoon show on DJ Sbu's online radio station, Massiv Metro, a long time ago.

Shortly after the comedian bounced back into acting after a six-year break, she's now spreading her wings in radio presenting with a prime-time show.

Celeste, who will be part of the upcoming Netflix show about polygamy, The Polygamist, while also preparing to host her comedy show, Celeste & DA Big Dudes, told Daily Sun that doing both at the same time is the biggest thing for her.

"I have the upcoming show on Netflix. Really, it's the flood of results from the work I've done over the years, of course understanding and realising that I'm in business and who I am. I feel like a child somehow. There's something new for me and there's something new for the people. We will have different conversations. It's going to be a very interesting journey," she said.

Celeste believes that she's reaping the rewards of many years of hard work by getting golden opportunities.
