A WELL-KNOWN salon in Springs, Ekurhuleni, Zuree Hair, associated with a Big Brother-winner, is facing legal action.

This after the owner Lehlogonolo Annette Nkuna (41) has been slapped with a lawsuit by the Springs Mall Consortium for a lease agreement breach.

The consortium is suing the salon, which offers fat injections, microblading, butt lifts, make-up, vaginal tightening, microneedling, laser lipo, and many other procedures, for over R690 000.

In a summons that Daily Sun has seen, the lease was set to commence on 1 July 2024 and terminate on 30 June 2027.

"The first defendant breached the terms of the lease agreement by failing to make payment as agreed of the monthly rental and charges and is presently in arrears in the amount/balance of R163 301,02 in respect of the period as set out and computed on the exposition of the First Defendant's account," read the summons.

The plaintiffs further demand R529 942,66.

"As a result of early cancellation of the lease agreement, the plaintiff suffered fair and reasonable damages (positive interesse) in the amount of R529 942,66, being calculated for the period of June 2025 to August 2026, computed and discounted at the rate of 8% in respect of the period as set out hereunder," the summons further read.

When called for comment, Lehlogonolo refused to provide details.

"How does that interest your readers?" she said.

The salon was previously associated with Big Brother Mzansi season 3 winner, Mphowabadimo, whose real name is Michelle Dimpho Mvundla (31).

In 2023, Mpho shared a video where she walked into the salon and showed her followers around.

At the time, she claimed she was the salon's new co-owner.

"Say hello to the new owner of Zuree Hair Beauty. Beauty has always been my business and passion. I've always wanted to provide services and products that enhance your everyday women's physical appearance at a local proximity and at affordable prices, while boosting your confidence and mental well-being," she wrote at the time.

Mpho also congratulated herself on social media for her new business venture, and her followers celebrated her achievement.

However, sources later claimed Mpho was never actually a co-owner.

"She's not the owner. She only asked to shoot a reality TV show there. It was for publicity. She was embarrassed that her R2 million was finished, and hadn't done anything tangible with it," they said.

At the time, Mpho was also filming for Themba Broly's reality TV show, Themba: My Inked World, which aired on Mzansi Magic.

Since then, she has moved on to other ventures.

She started a goat farming business in her home province of the North West, which she discussed on Podcast and Chill with MacG. She also launched a skincare range called Wabadimo Skincare.

Currently, Mpho is creating comedic content and posting vlogs on her YouTube channel, where she also teaches people about ubungoma.

When contacted regarding claims about her role in the salon, Mpho told Daily Sun she was not interested in commenting.

Springs Mall marketing manager Amoret D'Arrigo said they could not comment on the lease agreement.

"Leases are confidential legal agreements, so we are not in a position to comment on them publicly, except as required by legal bodies and then only through their formal channels," she said.
