WORLD-RENOWNED musician Nomcebo Zikode can't believe how much God has blessed her in the past few years.
She has travelled to countries including Tunisia, Spain, Cameroon, the United Arab Emirates, US and Switzerland and spoke to Daily Sun about performing abroad and issues with her record label.
"I cry when I think about how much God has blessed me. I don't understand how this can be me. I don't understand because I'm currently oppressed. I can't even release an album because of problems with the label.
"But even with that, God didn't allow me to stay home and do nothing. Instead, I'm going to countries I can't even pronounce. So I'm grateful. Sometimes a person will think they are burying you when they are actually planting a seed and that's how I feel. They thought they were burying me, but they planted a good seed and I see myself harvesting every day. Who knew that today I'd be having a Grammy Award? I didn't know," she said.
The 37-year-old Jerusalema singer said she was treated like a queen in every country she visited.
"I get treated like an important person in all these countries I go to. In the US as soon as I step outside my flight, there are already police officers to escort me. I was recently in Las Vegas, where the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) invited me, Nomcebo Zikode from South Africa, to represent them. That's not small. God has been doing big things for me," said the singer.

Nomcebo also asked that people pray for her so she can be free from the label.
"Can people continue to pray with me and for me? It's going to be okay soon. I've spent so much money on lawyers and I'm grateful that I was able to still pay those fees and still be able to take care of my family.
"Can they let me go so I can live my life and enjoy it? People are waiting for my music. Thank you to everyone who supported me in South Africa and abroad. People love me so much and I appreciate it," said Nomcebo.
