THE fight between Ukhozi FM presenter Zimdollar Biyela and maskandi star Mthandeni Manqele has intensified.
Zimdollar, who is also the organiser of the Mother of All Maskandi Festival, is suing Mthandeni for defamation of character.
Legal battle begins
She has slapped the maskandi heavyweight with a letter of demand dated 15 April 2024, ordering him to apologise in public.
This is after Mthandeni claimed he knows Zimdollar's bums in the dark, implying he knows her sexually.

The letter of demand, which was seen by Daily Sun, instructs Mthandeni to make an unconditional public apology within 30 days on the platform he made the allegation and failure to comply could result in legal proceedings, with Zimdollar seeking damages amounting to R1,5 million.
Demand for public apology
The Ukhozi FM presenter told Daily Sun Mthandeni's false claims could result in reputational damage.
"What he did shows that he doesn't respect me, my family, my children, and my husband. He disrespected me. Mthandeni disrespected the festival and didn't comment about him arriving late for the event, instead he decided to tell lies," Zimdollar said.
Where it all started
The controversy started during the Mother of All Maskandi Festival held at People's Park in Durban on Saturday, 6 April, when Mthandeni arrived late for his performance, forcing Zimdollar to remove him from the stage.
Mthandeni was booked for 7pm but performed around 9.30pm, which was not his slot and Zimdollar grabbed the mic and kicked him out of the stage.
Mthandeni's response
Mthandeni told Daily Sun he has not received the letter of demand yet and still maintained what he said.
"It depends on people's interpretation of what I said. It's not my fault if they think otherwise. If I said I know her bums in the dark, people must not think I know her intimately. Bums can work sexually and can be used during war. She's trying to fight with me in the dark," he said.

Mthandeni wanted to know if Zimdollar wanted an apology or the R1.5 million.
"If she wants to sue me, she must do just that. If she wants me to pay R1.5 million, then she must say it. Why must I apologise and take the blame? Yes, I was late for the festival, but it's not the first time for an artist too late. I think I was 15 minutes late," he said.
