"Amapiano is going through a change and different subgenres are popping up every day. Some songs live digitally, and some songs live on traditional platforms like groove. With David, we wanted to create a song that would try to sit in all these pockets and genres including TikTok, radio and something to make people go crazy in the club," said JazziQ.
Leerosoul said he was thrilled to share the studio with one of his idols and believes the new single will be a hit.
"I'm so excited to be working with one of my idols. I'm childhood friends with people like Jandas and Eeque, whose careers started at BIB. Seeing them shine like this inspires me to work harder on my craft. My biggest songs currently are uJohn uBabakho and Nazoke. I believe David is about to be another hit featuring Leersoul," said the vocalist.
The release of David follows the success of offerings such as All You Need Is Piano, setting dancefloors ablaze with hits such as Hamba Naye and Baya Hlanya.
